Samuel recently transitioned out of Grangou, our partner orphanage, and has been patiently waiting for an opportunity with HandUp. This past August, we were able to offer him his very FIRST JOB where he is now earning a fair wage for dignified work.Each year, Grangou transitions teens out of their institution. While we aren’t able to provide each teen with a job just yet, we do want to offer a handUp during this tough transition year away from their care providers.$200/month is what it costs to provide each young man transitioning out of Grangou with housing, food, schooling and vocational training. As HandUp expands its markets, we will be able to offer opportunities to these waiting teens, but in the meantime, we rely on financial gifts to sustain and train them.
